Sustainability Program

Our school prides itself on our sustainability program which has been running strong for a number of years. Our most recent awards recognises the work undertaken by Staff, Students and School Council in implementing Recycling, Water Saving, Energy Saving strategies and Environmental Projects. Students take pride in taking care of our gardens and are particularly excited when parents participate in our 'Gardening Club' to help maintain and keep our gardens looking their best.

Over recent years our school has received the following:

  • 2014 - Victorian Schools Garden Awards awarded our school with the Best edible Garden.
  • 2015 - our school received the recognition from 'Keep Victoria Beautiful' for our Compost Inititive - Kitchen Garden and Farmers Market.
  • 2016 - Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities awarded our school for our Indigenous Garden and Chicken coop.
  • The Tidy Towns - Sustainable Communities Awards recognise and celebrate positive actions taken by communities in Regional Victoria to protect and enhance their environment.
